A high-level meeting was held between His Excellency, Alhaji Abdussalam Abdulkarim (AA Zaura) and Alhaji Dr. Rufai Mukhtar Danmaje, focusing on ways to enhance peace, security, and socio-economic development in Kano State.
The discussion centered on finding lasting solutions to the growing challenges of thuggery (daba) and phone snatching, which have become major concerns affecting the image and stability of the state.
Both respected leaders expressed their strong commitment to supporting the government’s ongoing efforts in combating these social vices. They also emphasized the importance of youth empowerment, community participation, and moral reorientation as effective tools for restoring peace and order across the state.
In their remarks, AA Zaura and Dr. Danmaje described Kano as a state blessed with great potential, noting that peace and unity remain essential ingredients for progress and prosperity. They therefore called on all stakeholders particularly youths to channel their energy toward productive and lawful ventures that would uplift the state.
The meeting ended with a mutual understanding to continue collaborating and mobilizing support for initiatives that promote peace, security, and development in Kano State.
