KANO GOVERNOR APPROVES 75% OF LAWYERS’ DEMANDS
The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the payment of 75 percent of the demands presented by the Kano State lawyers’ association following their recent industrial action.
This development comes as part of the state government’s effort to resolve the issues affecting the judiciary sector and improve the welfare and working conditions of government-employed lawyers in the state.
In addition, the Governor has directed the immediate payment of two months’ outstanding salaries owed to newly recruited lawyers who had not been paid says commissioner Information and Internal Affairs.
The lawyers’ association has expressed satisfaction with the Governor’s decision, describing it as a demonstration of commitment and responsiveness to their concerns under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The resolution is expected to bring an end to the strike and restore full legal and judicial activities across Kano State.
