As part of its ongoing strategic engagements with key stakeholders in Kano State, the Quadripartite Alliance for Voter Registration in kano, paid a courtesy visit to Engr. Dr. Suleiman Sani FNSE, FIPSS, elder statesman in Kano, Chairman of the Kwankwasiya Caucus in Tarauni Local Government, and Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Dams and Irrigation Development.
Engr. Dr. Suleiman Sani, who is also a former Managing Director of the Kano State Water Board and the Kano Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA), is well recognized for his decades of service and development contributions. He was one of the Initiator and a strong supporters of the Kwankwaso Community Empowerment Project, through which 11,488 citizens of Kano State received training in various skills acquisition and computer programs between 2012 and 2014, coordinated by IHDIT in partnership with the Kano State Ministry of Science and Technology.
The visitation took place shortly after the celebration of Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary on October 1, 2025, at his office in Kano. The Quadripartite Alliance was represented by:

Alhaji Abdulmumin Bin Yusuf, Director General of the Association of Adult and Non Formal Education Centres (AANEC), and
Leadership of the National Association of Proprietors of Voluntary Islamic, Secular and Community Secondary and Primary Schools of Nigeria, Kano State branch, led by Auwalu Husaini Ayagi (Chairman) and Kabiru Muhammad Ja’en (State PRO).
Engr. Dr. Suleiman Sani warmly received the delegation, commending their grassroots initiative and reaffirming his continuous support for the voter mobilization and awareness exercise across Kano State. He emphasized the importance of civic participation as a foundation for strengthening democracy and pledged to continue his contributions towards ensuring the success of the campaign in kano state, he commend the efforts of the progress of the Quadripartite Alliance for Voter Registration in kano and appreciate their efforts and commitment to the voter mobilization exercise in the state.
The Quadripartite Alliance, made up of IPSS, AANEC, IHDI, and Light House - SRI is working closely with the Kano State Government Committee on Voter Mobilization and Awareness Campaign chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, in line with the directive of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Through the engagement of adult literacy centres, community schools, CSOs, and grassroots stakeholders, the Alliance has set a target to mobilize at least six million eligible Kano residents within 56 days, provided there is full government support.
The visitation to Engr. Dr. Suleiman Sani marks the beginning of a series of consultations with elder statesmen and stakeholders across Kano State including women groups, youths organizations etc. Political office holders , traditional and religious leaders, aimed at consolidating broad based support for the success of the ongoing voter registration mobilization exercise.
