Northern Youths APC New Era Urge Kwankwaso, Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf to Decamp to APC, Hail Tinubu’s Attentive Leadership
The Northern Youths APC New Era Organization has called on two prominent Northern leaders—Senator Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf—to decamp to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the interest of national unity, development, and the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking at a press conference, the leadership of the organization described the call as a patriotic move aimed at strengthening the ruling party and consolidating efforts toward Nigeria’s development, peace, and prosperity.
The group, made up of youths who played key roles in the formation of the APC from legacy parties such as ANPP, ACN, and CPC, reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to the party and its vision for national progress.
Tinubu’s Administration Commended
The organization commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it described as an “attentive and responsive leadership style,” noting that the administration consistently listens to the needs and concerns of Nigerians and responds promptly.
According to the group, the Tinubu administration has initiated numerous developmental projects across the country, including road and railway construction, financial interventions, grants to states and local governments, and policies aimed at addressing inflation and improving citizens’ welfare.
They emphasized that while every government faces challenges, attentiveness to the people remains a defining strength of the current APC-led administration.
Call for Unity and Inclusive Politics
The group stressed that Nigeria’s diversity—across the North, South, East, and West—makes unity and collective effort indispensable for sustainable development, security, and peaceful coexistence.
They noted that the APC, as the ruling party, has maintained an open-door policy that welcomes all well-meaning Nigerians who are willing to contribute to nation-building.
Recognition of Northern Leaders
The organization praised Senator Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for his long-standing contributions to Kano State and Nigeria, citing his service as governor, senator, minister, and member of the House of Representatives, as well as his role in promoting education and infrastructural development.
Similarly, the group lauded Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for what it described as remarkable achievements within a short period, including the employment of over 25,000 people, construction of flyover bridges, clearance of outstanding pensions and gratuities, settlement of teachers’ promotions, and increased investment in education and healthcare.
Formal Invitation to Join APC
Based on these contributions and the developmental agenda of the APC, the Northern Youths APC New Era Organization formally invited Senator Kwankwaso, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and other prominent Northern leaders to join the APC to work with President Tinubu toward the success of the administration and the nation at large.
The group said the invitation was also motivated by the government’s financial support to states, local governments, and federal institutions, as well as ongoing and planned welfare interventions across the country.
Appeal on Security and Welfare
The organization urged the APC-led Federal Government to intensify efforts in addressing insecurity, particularly in Northern Nigeria, and to enhance support and assistance to victims of insecurity.
They noted that strengthening security and welfare would further boost public confidence in the party and its leadership.
Commitment to APC’s Future Success
In conclusion, the group called on Nigerians to support the APC, emphasizing that good governance is defined not by frequent changes in government but by responsiveness, inclusiveness, and commitment to citizens’ welfare.
They also disclosed that the organization has strategic ideas and recommendations for the APC’s success in the next general elections and expressed readiness to contribute whenever consulted.
The press conference was signed by the National Chairman, Northern Youths APC New Era, Abdullahi Usman, and the Secretary, Muhammad Rabiu Mustapha.
