Tamburawa Water Treatment Plant Connected to Kano State’s Independent Power Supply
As part of the Kano State Government’s efforts to improve and strengthen water supply across the state, the Tamburawa Water Treatment Plant was connected three days ago to the state’s independent power supply.
The connection is aimed at ensuring a more reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply to the plant, following the rehabilitation and restoration of the Tiga 10MW Hydropower Plant, which is currently supplying electricity to the Tamburawa Water Treatment Plant.
Currently at the Tamburawa Substation, the Honourable Commissioner of Power and Renewable Energy, Engr. Dr. Gaddafi Sani Shehu, PhD, alongside the Managing Director of KHEDCO, Engr. Ado Ibrahim Umar Doguwa, and the Deputy Managing Director, Engr. Abduljabbar Muhammad Nanono, are conducting an on-site inspection of the facility.
The inspection forms part of the ongoing efforts of the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, to strengthen critical power infrastructure and support a more reliable and sustainable water supply for the people of Kano State.
